The National Disability Employment Awareness Month: A Strong Workforce is an Inclusive Workforce panel discussion will take place on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST at the West Atrium of DOT Headquarters Building 1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE, Washington, DC 20590. This panel discussion, in honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month, will feature distinguished speakers from across the Federal Sector. This event is open to all U.S. Department of Transportation employees and employees of other Federal agencies. The panelists will share their experiences in the workforce and engage in an interactive discussion on topics of disability employment. They will offer best practices and strategies in fostering a disability-friendly work culture. The featured speakers are:
• Richard Devylder, Senior Advisor on Accessible Transportation, Office of the Secretary, U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT)
• Greg Hlibok, Chief, Disability Rights Office, Federal Communications Commission
• Jason Olsen, Senior Policy Advisor, Office of Disability Employment Policy, U.S. Department of Labor; Interim President of Federal Employees with Disabilities (FEDs)
• Monica Summitt, Deputy Associate Administrator for Administration/Chief Financial Officer, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, USDOT.
