Complying with Section 503 and the ADA in the Application/Interview Stage

Date: Wednesday, March 26, 2014
Description: Part 3 of JAN's 2014 Federal Contractor Webinar Series

There’s been a lot of talk about the new Section 503 regulations’ requirement that federal contractors ask job applicants to voluntarily self-identify and the potential for this requirement to violate the ADA. This concern has prompted many federal contractors to start reviewing ADA requirements for the application/interview stage of employment. In this session, JAN Consultants will examine the Section 503 regulations related to self-identification and provide an overview of ADA rules at the pre-job offer stage and some of the traps employers find themselves in when conducting job interviews. Federal employers working with contractors may also find this event informative.

Speakers: Linda Carter Batiste, J.D., and Beth Loy, Ph.D., JAN Principal Consultants.

Handouts: Forthcoming.
