People with disabilities in the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico are covered by US Federal law covering the rights of people with disabilities in employment, community participation, commerce and other areas of life. Yet, they face a unique set of challenges. This session will examine laws, policies and trends impacting disability in the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. The webinar will also examine the application of the ADA, including case law in this area and consider laws, issues and policies unique to these Territories. This event may be of special interest to federal employers operating in or working with people with disabilities in these territories.
