Please join the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) for our upcoming AAPD - ADA Celebration on July 23rd at the iconic rooftop of 101 Constitution Ave. NW, Washington D.C from 6:30 - 8:30pm.
The purpose of this joyous occasion is to celebrate the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and recognize individuals who have contributed in extraordinary ways to increasing the political, social and economic power for people with disabilities.
Hosts thus far include Congressman Andy Barr, Congresswoman Corrine Brown, Congresswoman Marcia Fudge, Congresswoman Barbara Lee, Congressman Jerrold Nadler, Congressman Rick Nolan, Congressman Collin Peterson, Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, and Congressman Henry Waxman.
In addition, hear from disability civil rights activist, Mr. Bernie DeLeo - award winning playwright who brings personal experience with autism to his one-act play 'Nerdicus'.
